Getting Started

Accessing the Calendar

  1. Navigate to the patient's chart
  2. Click on the "Schedule" tab
  3. The calendar will display your visits and schedule

Calendar Views

  • Day View: Detailed view of daily schedule
  • Week View: Most commonly used view for visit management
  • Month View: Overview of visit patterns
  • Use the view toggle in the top right to switch between views
  • Use the left/right arrows to move between periods
  • Click "Today" to return to the current date
  • Working hours are set from 6 AM to 8 PM

Managing Visits

Creating a New Visit

Basic Visit Creation

  1. Click and drag on the calendar to select a time slot
  2. In the visit form:
    • Select visit status
    • Choose visit type (Initial Assessment, Follow-up, etc.)
    • Set priority level
    • Select duration
    • Enter visit address
    • Add relevant tasks
  3. Click "Save" to confirm

Visit Types and Status

  • Initial Assessment: First visit with patient
  • Follow-up: Subsequent visits
  • Routine Care: Regular maintenance visits
  • Urgent Care: Priority visits

Status Colors:

  • Orange: Active visits
  • Blue: Confirmed visits
  • Green: Completed visits
  • Red: Cancelled visits
  • Gray: Pending visits

Task Management

Adding Tasks to Visits

  1. In the visit form, scroll to the Tasks section
  2. View existing tasks (if any)
  3. Select additional tasks from the grid
  4. Tasks will be created when the visit is saved

Editing Visits

Modifying Visit Details

  1. Click on any existing visit
  2. Update visit information in the modal
  3. Add or remove tasks as needed
  4. Click "Save" to update

Quick Adjustments

  • Move: Drag and drop visits to new times
  • Resize: Drag the bottom edge to adjust duration
  • Changes are saved automatically

Best Practices

Episode Management

  • Ensure patient has an active episode before scheduling
  • Visits and tasks are linked to episodes
  • Episodes provide context for care continuity

Efficient Visit Planning

  1. Check existing tasks before scheduling
  2. Use appropriate visit types for billing
  3. Set realistic visit durations
  4. Keep status updated for team coordination

Task Association

  1. Add relevant tasks during visit creation
  2. Review existing tasks to avoid duplication
  3. Consider task dependencies

Important Notes

  • All times are in your local timezone
  • Changes take effect immediately
  • Tasks require an active episode
  • Visit duration affects scheduling
  • Address field auto-fills from patient record

Troubleshooting

Common Issues

    • Confirm episode association

  • Working hours: 6 AM to 8 PM
  • Minimum visit duration: 30 minutes
